Free bicycle carriage in Baden-Württemberg from May 2017
From April 30, 2017, passengers traveling on public transport off peak hours on working days before 6 am and after 9 am, as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays all day will be able to carry a bicycle free of charge.

On September 14, 2016, the new high-speed train "ICE 4" by Deutsche Bahn AG was presented in Berlin. The train will be used in long-distance traffic from 2017 onwards and has a bicycle compartment for the first time. There are 830 seats in total and storage space for 8 bicycles.
