The bicycle is moving forward at full speed. Bicycles with electric drive as well as bikes without motors are posting strong gains. This is also reflected by the success story of Eurobike 2014, which came to an end on Saturday in Friedrichshafen after four days of the fair. In addition to the record number of exhibitors - 1320 companies from 54 countries - the international bicycle trade show also set a new record in the number of trade visitors: A total of 46,300 trade visitors (2013: 45,200) from 111 countries obtained information about new products in the bicycle industry. With 21.100 bike fans on public day (2013: 20,400) and a total of 1852 media representatives from 46 countries, the bicycle event on Lake Constance again achieved a strong result.

There were also relaxed expressions among the fair management: "The mood among the exhibitors is excellent; we see a high level of satisfaction on the part of our customers." Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann, Area Manager Stefan Reisinger, and Eurobike Project Manager Dirk Heidrich are able to give a very positive assessment after four well-visited days of the fair. The world's leading trade fair of the bicycle made "a clear statement" with its strong showing on Lake Constance: "The international bicycle business is in full swing here on Lake Constance."

All bicycle experts from around the world experienced a concentrated international product range in 14 exhibition halls, accompanied by some 300 world premieres and new products. Trade visitors from all over the world also flocked to Friedrichshafen. Trade visitors from a total of 111 countries were registered this year.

Voices of the exhibitors

Martin Hsu, General Manager of Kind Shock Hi-Tech Co., LTD.: The Eurobike was very good. We met 99 percent of our customers here. Carsten Zahn, Head of Marketing, Rolf Bohle GmbH (Schwalbe): "There were masses of visitors here. Went well, met everyone, everything was great." Claus Wachsmann, Marketing Project Manager of Cube Bikes: "As the world's leading trade fair in conjunction with Demo Day, the Eurobike is seen by us from Cube as an international event that is enormously important, especially for reaching other professionals in the business. We are absolutely satisfied, because we bring together many of our international customers and distributors here at the fair, and can generally make good contacts." Bernhard Lange, Managing Partner of Paul Lange & Co. OHG: "Once again the Eurobike has shown itself to be the world's leading trade fair for the industry. Among both industrial and trading partners, we have registered a very positive, optimistic mood in many good conversations that allow us to look forward to the coming season with confidence. In general we can say - also due to the great interest on the part of policymakers, associations, and the general-interest media, such as newspapers, agencies, or television stations - that the subject of the bicycle continues to grow in popularity. It is an integral part of everyday life, leisure behavior, urban mobility concepts, and healthy lifestyles. For us, Eurobike 2014 is in every respect a complete success." Stefan Ytterborn, CEO and Founder of Poc: "Eurobike 2014 was lovely. We had good traffic at our booth, the visitors were highly interested, and we are absolutely satisfied with this year’s show. I am overwhelmed and give it an eight out of ten."

Premiere at the fairgrounds: Eurobike Demo Day

For the first time, the test event on the eve of the leading trade fair was held directly on the fairgrounds in Friedrichshafen.
