Hannes Jaenicke became the "Cycling-friendliest person"

As an actor, Jaenicke always is on tour. To escape the stress of everyday life, he keeps fit with water sports such as surfing and kiting as well as cycling and motorcycling. He enjoys the feeling of freedom on two wheels.
"Today I have two bikes in Berlin, two in Munich, one in L.A., one in Cologne and two elsewhere," Jaenicke explained to the initiators of the competition. Depending on his mood, he can be the comfortable or the action-packed cyclist. Jaenicke mentions as important measures to promote cycling: "Car-free city centres would be nice, simply because of the air quality. We also need more cycle paths and cycle paths and, of course, sunny weather."
The nationwide competition "German Bicycle Award" is a joint project of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), in cooperation with the AGFS, the bicycle industry association (ZIV) and the Service and Bicycle Association (VSF). The “Cycling-friendliest person” is awarded since 2003.
