The city cycling: The Climate Alliance CITY CYCLING competition invites all members of the local parliaments to pedal as a model for climate protection and to commit themselves to increased cycling promotion. As a team with citizens, they should collect as many bicycle kilometres as possible for their community. The campaign aims to raise citizens' awareness of cycling in everyday life and to bring the issues of bicycle use and bicycle traffic planning more strongly into local parliaments. Towns, communities and counties around the world can run the campaign on 21 consecutive days between May and September. There are awards and high-quality prizes to win - but above all a liveable environment with less traffic pollution, less exhaust fumes and less noise. www.city-cycling.org
